Pros

excellent tradition of honest, intelligent commitment to quality product distribution

Cons

tradition of tight control from the top hindering adjustment to new realities of markets; new boys are smart but allow a layer of midlevel managers to insulate them from producers in the company

Pros

Good work-life balance. Still some remnants of the "human being first" ethos. Good people.

Cons

Leadership is disconnected. Too many processes & bureaucracies. Too connected to traditional publishing. Leadership doesn't seem to know how to transform the company.

Pros

Benefits are decent and work-life balance is good.

Cons

There a lot of cons around here these days. What once was a great company is now a shadow of its former self. The reorg was like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Women can pretty much forget about high-level leadership roles.
