Pros

Most of the people are very pleasant to work with. The hours and benefits are good and most managers are willing to work with you if you need to work from home occasionally.

Cons

As in most publishing industry positions, the pay is not great. The subject matter of the content can seem less then thrilling considering it's all non-fiction and with a heavy focus on education.

Pros

The benefits package is very comprehensive. The hours are very good. The stability of the company is good. The Wiley family is supportive of the company and the personnel. The office atmosphere is cooperative most people are friendly to work with.

Cons

The biggest cons are a top heavy management that does not listen to younger workers and is often paralyzed by the decision making process. Career growth exists but is very slow. The company is slow to invest in new technologies that would ease the flow of information. There is not culture of job training. Too many departments share function but do not communicate.

Pros

- the people are nice, generally helpful and I have made many friends that I hang out with outside of work - the company is established and benefits/ work and life balace is good - don't have to work late.. can get by doing little

Cons

- salary is pathetic and increases are VERY low.. 2% each year.. no chances to move up unless you go into sales - work is not very interesting - people are slow to react- don't praise those who do well - company is too heavy on upper management- people don't innovate just get by to earn a paycheck
