Pros

People you work with day-to-day are great Good work-life balance Mission-driven Benefits are good

Cons

Upper Management is easily the worst part of the company. Leadership is actively biased and they are incredibly arrogant and suppress data from rest of company. Terrible company culture where marginalized communities get retaliated against.

Pros

Reputation only i cant think any other its a bad bad bad place now

Cons

I have been working at Wiley Global Technologies in Colombo for a while now, and my experience has been far from positive. The management practices in the Information Security team are deeply concerning and reflect a toxic workplace culture. Firstly, there is a clear lack of accountability and transparency from the management. Decisions seem to be made behind closed doors, favoring certain individuals rather than based on merit. This favoritism creates a divide within the team, leaving many talented employees feeling undervalued and overlooked. Additionally, the management does not address ongoing issues within the team. Many employees have noticed that some team members routinely avoid coming to the office, and this lack of attendance is seemingly ignored by management. Instead of fostering a collaborative environment, it seems that complacency is accepted, which only adds to the frustration of those who are committed and dedicated to their work. Moreover, speaking up about concerns has become a dangerous move. Employees who dare to voice their opinions or suggest improvements are often targeted and isolated, leading to a culture of silence and fear. This has resulted in a significant number of departures, as individuals seek healthier work environments where their contributions are recognized. The overall atmosphere is one of stress and negativity, with rampant rumors about job security and workplace dynamics. Many feel they are walking on eggshells, which stifles creativity and collaboration. It's disheartening to see such potential wasted due to poor leadership. In conclusion, if you're considering a position at Wiley Global Technologies Colombo, I urge you to think twice. The lack of support, toxic environment, and ineffective management practices are not conducive to professional growth or job satisfaction.

Pros

The people I work with are fantastic, and the benefits are solid. Pay isn't totally up-to-par for the cost of living in the area, but it's better than I've had previously.

Cons

Leadership at the higher levels makes questionable decisions or takes too long waffling back and forth between courses of action, resulting in lost time, wasted work, etc.
