Ok Place to Begin One’s Career

Pros

Coworkers and cafeteria are great. You can wear jeans on Friday. There’s a gym. Use this company as a stepping stone and network within. There are many decent people in the organization to befriend.

Cons

Management is egotistical and does not listen to direct reports. Feedback can be given but goes in one ear and out the other. Some VPs will even scream at you and HR just lets it slide by. Pay is not competitive. No remote work, no sick time. Sick kid? Use PTO. Pet died? PTO. Broken leg? P.T.O. It’s 2023 and this “high tech” company cannot create a plan for remote work? Crazy. IT seems to be horribly mismanaged and cannot execute the most mundane of tasks. Good luck working with them.

Solid company to work for

Pros

- Cafe with good food and ok prices - A good sized gym for use whenever - Game rooms for shuffleboard, pool, darts etc - Knowledgeable management, though behind the times a bit - Good direction of work and the company - Colleagues are great to work with and you don't feel alone on projects ever

Cons

- Management can feel a bit dated sometimes. There was never any remote work because it wasn't fair. - Once there was mandatory Saturdays but they removed that a while ago. I don't think they'd do it again because a lot of people left due to the change.
