Pros

Cradle to grave engineering. I have been part of the entire product development cycle. A great place for young engineers to experience the entire development cycle (design and project management).

Cons

Development cycle is very slow paced compared to nearby automotive industry. This results in slower learning opportunities, which in terms makes it difficult to showcase valuable experience and knowledge when one decides to change job.

Pros

Flexible work schedule if arranged with the managers. People are helpful if you need help with concepts. Educational seminars on Tuesday during lunch.

Cons

No kitchen (only fridges), no windows in work areas, sometimes you may be overloaded to finish a project and sometimes you may be idle, which is a sign of bad project planning.

Complex products + relatively small teams = diverse work tasks every day. Personal responsibility for product deliverables is significant, compared with larger companies. In-house design and manufacturing of most components in the final products.

Cons

Direction for project goals are subject to change often. People management is not as high a priority as project management.
