Pros

Work/life balance, part of a good group of people, respect my leadership

Cons

As with all corporations, profit targets can result in lean teams with more workload than ideal. Have seen indications this concern is taken seriously, however.

Pros

It's really hard to get fired from here because nobody knows what they are doing in IT.

Cons

IT management rely too much on a think layer of clueless middle management. This layer suppress ideas from below or take credit for them. Often letting go of experience people in favor of their buddies. Their motto is do the right thing, but nobody does and it frustrates the real IT professionals to leave the company. They waste many millions on IT projects that are just thrown in the trash. Management will consider it a WIN, go out to dinner, celebrate, then throw away the product and blame an engineer. If you have mental health issues, HR will make it seem okay, but your manager will make your job impossible so you quit. Don't report any MH issues if you want to stay.
