Pros

Competitive salary and the opportunity to work a lot of overtime. Friendly and supportive environment. Lots of paid time off. Prestigious firm. Volunteer opportunities. Free gym membership

Cons

Long hours if you want to make a decent salary if you are non-salaried employee. Legal assistants mainly work in windowless rooms.

Pros

Very smart people and great work coming in, especially on the litigation side. More humane/friendly than other firms I have worked at.

Cons

Hours can be long, but that is how all large law firms are. If you aren't ready for that, time for a new career.

It's Ok but could be better

Pros

Benefits package is quite generous compared to many other firms. Flexibility is pretty good for staff.

Cons

Non-attorney salaries pale in comparison to a lot of firms. Raises are non-existent, all the firm "profits" are concentrated on top of the pyramid. There is a disconnect between HR and the attorneys in the sense that you may get an excellent performance review yearly but it is never reflected in your compensation.
