Was good, but seems to be heading downhill

Pros

Pay and benefits are good. There are some extremely talented group of people. Company provides lots of flexibility to manage the work-life balance. The product targets an industry that has lot of potential.

Cons

There is apparent lack of vision and road map. Nobody know what company will be developing in next 6, 12, 18 months. Projects seems to go on and on forever without any target budget, schedule or accountability. For the size of company there seems to be too many managers creating lot of silos.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to make positive changes. Great teams of people to work with. If you have an idea, your ideas can become reality. The Hourly employees have had a better bonus program this past year than the salaried team. I have never seen that before! But I think it was a great example of holding the leadership accountable.

Cons

Still some good-old boys mentality left over, but getting better. Some times we hang on to non performers too long and try to hard to fix them... This only makes good performs want to work less hard.
