Pros

- Desperate for people almost year round so it's pretty easy to get a job. - Good benefits. $30 per month for one person. Insurance is Regence of Idaho under BC/BS. - Met lots of great people here, some of whom are close friends now. - Learned a lot of valuable lessons, some of which came about from less than ideal working conditions. - Genuinely enjoyed the type of work I did, just not the extreme quantity of it all the necessary issues I endured. - If you're a hard worker, there are lots of opportunities for hours and overtime depending on the department.

Cons

- Training is awful. You're basically left to the wolves here and have to figure out stuff on your own. - Pay is not competitive. WinCo drags their feet with giving raises to match comparable work in the area. - Consistently understaffed and overworked despite being one of the most busy stores in the entire company. - Lofty expectations for skeleton crews. - Upper Management and HR comes across as apathetic which makes it hard to talk to them about problems at work and in personal life. In some extreme cases, they act like you're just making up stories for attention. Thankfully I only know a few instances where such accusations were flung at coworkers in dire circumstances and once for myself. Some actually are decent people, but need better people skills and need to know how to practice active listening. Fewer still are fantastic and actually are approachable, but they do exist. - Total disorganization among higher ups in most departments. Everyone has different requirements for how things should be done which is absolutely dizzying for newcomers. Over time, you do learn to compromise and figure out whose say actually holds the most weight and why, but I feel things should be way more clear.
