I first worked for them back in 2011, but I had to take time off due to my grandmother ending up in the hospital. (I helped take care of her while my grandfather worked) I was let go due to having too many days off, but was told I was rehirable in six months. I ended up getting another job a few months later. I recently was laid off from them, and decided to try winco again. I got a call from a different Winco then that one I worked at, and got the interview, drug test and was hired, and went though orientation and even my first night of stocking. The next morning I was brought upstairs to the office and was told that there was a mistake from corporate and that I was not rehirable and that I would have to be let go.
I explained the situation and that I was told I was rehirable by the manager at the Winco I worked at back in '11 but they said due to new management at that store they are unable to take my claim and only that of corporate.
