Pros

Great people to work with

Cons

I am a type 1 diabetic and developed tendenitus in my hands. I could not cashier for as many hours as they wanted me to. They sent me to a worker's comp doctor who put me on restricted duties. 2 weeks later I am fired because of the point's system they have in place. What is up with that?? I have worked here for over a year and this is how you get treated????? Wow I had always heard that Winco was a good company to work for but this is crazy. No compassion for people at all. This company is sad. Point system sucks they can get rid of you for no reason and the points never go away??????????? Company has no compassion no heart. The ADA should get after them. People with a disability should be helped not slammed to the ground. Might have to find me a Lawyer.

Better than a lot of retail employers, but still needs improvement

Pros

I liked the good relationships I was able to build. The skills I was able to learn working in multiple areas. Health benefits are very good and inexpensive.

Cons

Being stuck at the part-time pay grade (maxed out) while averaging 40 hours a week. Most days were understaffed at our location, and employee call-outs were frequent, even among some lead clerks/supervisors. No performance reviews, so there is really no way of knowing how you're doing unless you get the occasional "good job" from management, or unless you mess up. Overall, I'm disappointed that I had to leave a company that I knew well after 5+ years working there just to get a full-time position.

Pros

Great for a college kid living at home, all it's good for really.

Cons

-Pay can't compete. -Better jobs elsewhere. - Hours so bad, it'll feel like you don't have a job anyways. ex: One shift on Thursday 4pm-8pm, next schedule has the same thing. Had to use vacation time to keep the money going.
