Good company at the right franchise location
Pros
There is room for improvement professionally if at the right location. Each location is a franchise so it tends to be a little more personal and less corporate. The profit sharing is typically good so long that you do your part, and the jobs teaches you a lot about product knowledge in their given field of expertise.
Cons
Just depends on which store you work at. Some stores have it together, but other do not. The one I worked at, WinSupply West Orange of Ocoee Florida was always very chaotic. Sales guys would push very large orders at the end of current business day and expect orders to go out next morning on delivery trucks. This sometimes could be 20 or more orders. Only warehouse staff pulls ALL of these orders in the morning with very minimal help from the rest of the business. However, they keep reminding the warehouse staff that orders need to get pulled and that the warehouse needs to do better. This location is all big wigs, and bottom totem pole employees...no happy medium. Management team tries their hardest to pay bottom dollar for the amount of work needed for the business to thrive. This location also hits the residential market, so the sales team REALLY drives the pricing low, making it hard to hire more people. They have to make up for the lack of income, by selling quantity, and having less employees....So most days are incredibly overwhelming for any staff that is NOT upper management. I was given the title of warehouse supervisor and counter manager and had to leave my desk sales position...where I then spent the rest of my time in the warehouse. I did not receive any raises for the "promotions". When It came time to discuss money, I was told I could get a raise, but it would come out of my profit sharing check.
