Pros

I love working at Wintergreen. I feel a huge sense of community and family with all of my coworkers. I get to meet so many people from all different backgrounds--we are a melting pot of cultures and that is really awesome. I also love the fact that we get to use the amenities of the resort for free! It is absolutely gorgeous up on the mountain and I am so thankful that I get to work here.

Cons

The drive up the mountain is a little intimidating at first, but I quickly got used to it and now, it's a breeze!

Pros

-Employee benefits -Great artificial snow -Struggling with co-workers formed a bond

Cons

-Continually changing ownership, yet the Administration stays the same. -Will scan your Facebook and other social media while employed -The resort operates in scare tactics towards employees in order to appease customers. -A majority of customers upset over prices tend to use you as a punching bag. -Will do anything for a dime -Over-worked and under-paid

Don't Be Fooled

Pros

If you ski, free skiing. If you golf, free golf with limited access. If you like -10 degree weather in the middle of Jan. for 8.50 an hour, you will be thrilled.

Cons

Where to begin...First off you will be treated like you're the best thing to come along since sliced bread. Things go down hill (no pun intended) from there. You will find out very quickly that if you do a good job, you will eventually be doing everyone else's job as well. Management pets have a way of doing nothing while looking as if they've done it all. Then when you go to management about said pets, you're looked upon as a complainer. "Everybody has different work ethics" is the response you will get. Really? I'm sorry, it's a team. You hire people that are on the same page. Not reward complacency, and reprimand hard workers. The turnover rate is astronomical.
