Pros

Health benefits were ok and there were a lot of kind people

Cons

Leadership severely underperformed. First layer or two of workers do all the work, understand all the content and the managers refuse nor want to learn. From there - the disconnect leads to questionable projects and advancements as the leaders are not involved and it leaves the team members wondering why certain initiatives are even being brought to the forefront. The company has lost many good employees because of a few very toxic leaders and it was quite sad to see because they could have been the future of Wintrust. Turnover in this department is high because people either leave because of these few individuals or the company hires new folks that stay for a few weeks or months, see how bad it is, and leave. My mental health (and others that are still at the company) suffered by this dramatically.

Pros

Not sure why people are upset about work life balance. the bank closes at 5pm weekdays and 1pm Saturday. How could anyone complain about work life balance? I used to work at a bank that was open way later than that and you had to work on a skeleton crew.. here at Wintrust you get tellers, teller supervisors, bankers, assistant managers, and a host of other people there.. management treats you like a human and we are always involved in the community. Customers are put first. You have to work hard and have passion for helping people.. most banks have crazy goals but Wintrust has easy goals and it’s easy to promote products and services especially when the accounts have no overdraft, atm fees refunded, high interest rates.. etc

Cons

The systems could be updated but it’s passable

Pros

Hybrid Schedule and….not much else

Cons

Heavy workload for low pay. Toxic work environment, and your manager will be so overworked that they won’t have the time to support you. Really shameful coming from “Chicagos Bank” The only reason I gave career opportunities 4 stars, is because your manager will be quitting soon and they like to hire internally.
