Pros
Laid back environment. Base pay plus uncapped commissions. Can make reasonable money during busy seasons. Management is willing to offer help where they can. Full Benefits Package You're generally treated with respect by coworkers and upper management. It's fulfilling when you make someone's day.
Cons
Customers can be insufferable just like at any retail location. Being verbally abused by customers is a normal occurrence, so you need to have thick skin and how to respectfully retaliate. Low base pay. Although they are generally respectful of their employess, upper management can get annoying with their sales goals and will act like you aren't actually trying to sell, which is how you make decent money. The primary system software that we use tends to have errors multiple times throughout the day, which slows down the process of fulfilling orders and make for a bit of stress. Unless there is a huge blow up from a customer where they are threatening legal action against the company, the sales rep is the one who needs to de escalate the situation and typically without any backup from management.
