Pros

I've been at Woebot Health for 5, going on 6 years, from when it was about a dozen people, to well over 100 strong. While the business has evolved over the years, one thing that has stayed the same is the strong culture. The people working at Woebot are some of the most diverse, humble, caring, and growth-minded individuals with whom I've worked. They are united in purpose and work hard to improve mental health.

Cons

Like any startup with big dreams, there is more to do than there are resources to do it. It's a great place for anybody willing to work hard for a meaningful goal.

Cons

For me, there have been no cons to speak of. I've been lucky enough to have had quite a varied career - I've worked with Silicon Valley tech giants, start-ups and large enterprises. I can honestly say that my experience at Woebot has been some of the most enjoyable and satisfying work to date (for the reasons outlined above). One thing I will say is that we are a start-up. This means that we move fast and things can often change quickly. While this can be exciting in many ways, it may not be for everyone. There are some things we excel at, and other things we are still figuring out - the supportive culture at Woebot does help alleviate some of this :) However, if you do thrive in this type of environment then this is a perfect time to join the company.

Pros

You get to work with a team of people who are passionate about what they are doing. I know that you hear this a lot these days but at Woebot, it's actually true. These guys really want to make high quality of mental health accessible for all and in order to do that some fairly well established structures need to be re-evaluated and in cases disrupted. It's an incredibly exciting field to be working in at the moment and in many ways pioneering.

Cons

The work is challenging but I always have the feeling that senior management have your back. And to be honest, if you're not being challenged by your work, you're in the wrong job.
