      Pros

      The firm works hard to strategically grow to support clients and foster the industry-relevant capabilities of its employees. Innovation, hard work and achievement are encouraged and recognized. Concerted effort is made to ensure the culture is continually rich and improving, and that it supports diversity, inclusion and equality.

      Cons

      Growth can be tough on an organization, and Woolpert could do better at identifying and adjusting to needed changes. Also we need to better recognize and address when people are overworked.

      Respectful Middle Management

      Pros

      - Middle (and upper) Management care about their teams/staff and respect their work/life balance. - Flexible schedule if office work only - just make sure you get your job done and you can work flexible hours. - Personal life is respected - no needing to explain appointments or time off beyond a reasonable measure (i.e. a few hours for an appointment). - Decent & fair compensation (Strategic Consulting sector, can't speak to others).

      Cons

      - Inconsistent workload - it's either 0 or 100, no in between. - Not a ton of room for upward mobility. - Management says they are supportive, but not much effort aside from goals set annually is made to push career development or seeking opportunities. - A lot of travel (not during COVID, thankfully) in Strat Con. Prior to COVID, traveled much more than discussed in job interview.
