Circling the drain

Pros

Additional PTO via Thank you days are nice.

Cons

There is virtually no new hiring for US/Canada/Ireland positions, jobs are being offshored to India. The problems caused by offshore teams cost us a lot of time and money and surely no net gains. They also made promotions much more difficult to come by. 50% in-office requirement.

Burnout is rampant

Pros

Investing in AI—if that’s important to you.

Cons

Always pushing for more, faster, even when hitting numbers—to the point where a lot of people burn out and there’s no leadership accountability for it. No work/life balance. Backtracked hard on DEI once the Trump administration came in, perhaps because it’s pursuing gov’t contracts—not a good look.
