Pros

Additional PTO via Thank you days are nice.

Cons

There is virtually no new hiring for US/Canada/Ireland positions, jobs are being offshored to India. The problems caused by offshore teams cost us a lot of time and money and surely no net gains. They also made promotions much more difficult to come by. 50% in-office requirement.

Pros

I used to love my job at Workday. I felt proud to work here — proud of the mission, the team, and the impact we were making. It used to feel like we were part of something bigger. But everything changed. The comp plan was the first to go — slashed, restructured, and rendered meaningless. Hitting quota became a moving target, and even when you did, the financial reward was a shadow of what it once was. It didn’t feel like motivation — it felt like punishment. The tools we were expected to use became more of a hindrance than a help. Sales engagement platforms were a nightmare — disconnected, outdated, and impossible to use effectively. The sales intelligence tools were laughable. Data was wrong more often than it was right. You were better off throwing darts at a list of accounts. Most of us ended up tracking pipeline in Excel — yes, Excel — because Salesforce was so convoluted and broken it was functionally useless. A multi-billion-dollar company, and we were using spreadsheets to stay on top of deals. Let that sink in. And if you were hoping for a future here — don’t. Career advancement at Workday is not based on merit or performance. It’s based on politics. Leadership decides what your next step is. Not you. Not your manager. Them. Meanwhile, the CEO has become laser-focused on AI and cost-cutting, not because it benefits the team. His initiatives aren’t empowering reps.

Cons

The people — some of the brightest, most collaborative colleagues I’ve worked with. Brand recognition — Workday still carries weight in the market. A few leaders (mostly legacy Workday) still embody the original values of integrity and employee-first thinking.

Pros

Free snacks in break room Multiple employee events

Cons

A coworker of mine was bullying and harassing me. I tried handling the situation myself first by talking to my coworker with no change. Then I told my manager what was happening and she just told me I need to get used to working with "different people". Finally I went to HR and they said because it was not discrimination harassment (based on sex, race, religion, etc) they could not help me. I experienced daily bullying and had extreme anxiety every day due to it. I expressed my concerns many times to my manager and was always brushed off. I finally put in my notice and in those last couple weeks I made another complaint. Instead of taking it seriously, they wanted to make the "problem" disappear and told me not to finish out my last 2 weeks. Disgusting behavior from a company that claims they care so much about workplace environment and employee satisfaction.
