A company in decline sadly

Pros

The company used to be a genuinely great place to work. It had an employee-first culture, clear strategic leadership, and a compelling long-term vision. Compensation and benefits were competitive, and there was a real sense of teamwork and purpose. Many of my colleagues were talented, motivated people who made coming to work enjoyable.

Cons

Over time, the employee-first culture has eroded. Compensation has been reduced, and benefits have been taken away without meaningful alternatives. Layoffs have resulted in heavier workloads for those who remain, essentially asking people to do more for less. The company has lost its sense of strategy and vision, with leadership now focused almost entirely on short-term cost cutting. What’s most demoralizing is the disconnect between what leadership says and what employees experience—leaders continue to insist that employees are the top priority, when actions clearly show otherwise. This disconnect makes it harder to trust management and harder to stay motivated.

Going downhill, fast

Pros

Being workday certified does enable you to find contract work quite easily, so that can be a plus. Pay is decent, but it comes at a cost...

Cons

- The cost-cutting and RIFS have put immense pressure on others to pick up the workload left behind - The emphasis on AI is becoming farcical. No one knows what efficiencies we are gaining, if any, and it's becoming a running joke - Senior Management is cutthroat and incompetent; they're getting fat off the layoffs and stock buybacks - The increased workload is harming our ability to serve customers, and they're beginning to notice - My well-being and mental health have seriously degraded since the start of this year, to the point of breaking
