Pros

Depending on the team, you can have a varied tech stack to work with which can be pretty fun. They also do seem to care about work life balance, and encourage taking time off.

Cons

In regards to positions that require an active security clearance, Workday lied about what was sold as a yearly clearance pay for holding and maintaining the clearance. Instead, it turned into something that "we absolutely do not have the budget for, but if employees work really hard then we might see about getting it to them next year if we think they deserve it". As a result, this ended up being a 15% pay deduction from what we were told. Workday acts like a collection of companies, with each team having its own hierarchy and bureaucracy to deal with. And you generally need to interact with other teams quite a bit.

Pros

Work-life balance is still decent, but continuously getting worse. There are a few people left that still have talent.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Workday hires cheap resources while expecting quality work. The VPs hired in the past year are all worthless. The goal of Workday is to layoff as many people as possible to squeeze the profits. Switching back to the old CEO (who approved all of the layoffs done by the prior CEO, mind you) is supposed to magically fix everything? Good luck with that. The goals never changed because the old CEO approved everything the prior CEO did. Don't believe me? What did the old CEO do to make up for everything the prior CEO did? Did they re-hire and re-train the people laid off? No. Did they give a bonus to everyone who is still stuck here? No. Did they bring back any of the benefits that the prior CEO took away? No. Oh, but they did offer a Workday-branded gift, so that's nice, I guess? Oh, and AI is now extra extra important, emphasis on the double extra! So what's the new direction? Oh, just use AI more? Okay! Do you like taking two months to get onboarded because no one knows how to get you access to what you need? Do you enjoy listening to leadership that sounds just like chatgpt? Do you look forward to security taking tools away from you because they're "not secure" despite the tools being built and developed by a company LARGER than Workday? Then this is a great place for you! If you're desperate, Workday is a great company to coast at while you look for better opportunities.

Horrible Global Revenue Operations CX Sr Leadership

Business Outlook

Pros

Direct coworkers dedication. Lower level managers that truly care for their employees. Benefits

Cons

During the February layoffs, senior Global Revenue Operations and CX leadership should have been evaluated more critically. There is little visible strategic contribution, minimal guidance to the deal desk, and limited understanding of the business. While frontline teams carry the load, executive travel and optics suggest a disconnect from operational realities. The same concern applies to the current Chief Commercial Officer leadership. Many of the strategic issues that developed under the prior CEO remain unaddressed. There is no clear direction for the business, and revenue teams lack the alignment and support needed to succeed. If these leadership gaps are not addressed quickly, the impact on deal desk performance and overall sales attainment will continue to compound.
