Pros

Impactful projects, great team members, unlimited PTO, social events, good compensation

Cons

Layoffs, the code base could be messy for some teams, XO (Workday's proprietary programming language) documentation is lacking, making it hard to learn and is tribal knowledge

We understand how painful and unsettling this moment has been. Saying goodbye to talented and valued Workmates is never easy and we’re appreciative of their contributions in helping shape the company’s journey. Workdays committed to supporting those affected during this transition.

Pros

The product is good and the environment is supportive, Workday in the main hire good people. Genuinely care for our customers.

Cons

Workday have done a dramatic u-turn when it comes to the happiness of employees being its number one value, and like so many other companies this has become corporate rhetoric. Whereas Workday used to offer a competitive package in order to attract and retain the best talent this is no longer the case and people are experiencing their benefits being repeatedly slashed and in real terms are becoming poorer as no significant increases are forthcoming. You cannot attract and retain the best talent by offering market average packages at best. The workload has also increased with many employees suffering from stress and burnout while they struggle to balance their work with life. Workday have become complacent and are taking their workforce for granted.
