Pros

I changed my professional trajectory to come work for Workiva (formerly WebFilings), and the risk has paid off. There is a culture here that genuinely values the perspective of every employee, regardless of title, which is something very difficult to retain as a company grows as fast as Workiva has. The ability to work from home when necessary allows me to balance my home and work responsibilities evenly, and the office culture is welcoming to the point that I consider many of my colleagues as friends. The benefits are good, for private industry, and the perks at the office are fantastic—free coffee and snacks, game room, beautiful facility, and restaurant quality food in the cafeteria. Overall, this has been one of the best work experiences of my career!

Cons

Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold.

Pros

I began working at Workiva, formerly WebFilings, as an intern and then transitioned to full-time upon graduation, like many of my fellow employees. During my time as an intern, I was given considerable projects and responsibilities that pushed me to grow professionally and personally. The experience I gained did far more for me than any amount of homework or any class I could take in college. I was expected to do well and to be available when needed, but was given flexibility and generous compensation for my position. I knew that I and my work was highly valued. As a full-time employee, I have been a part of major company projects and changes that have continued to challenge me. I find that the challenges bring opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and enjoyable work. Workiva also takes care of us with incredible benefits, a lively work atmosphere, continuing professional development, and makes listening to the employees a priority. My favorite part of Workiva? My coworkers. They are skilled, intelligent, and kind. I've worked on projects with members from every team and level of management, even as an intern, and was given respect and the tools I needed to be successful. It's truly a team environment, an inspiring environment, that I love coming to work to every day.

Cons

Workiva experiences internal change quickly and sometimes abruptly. This affects some teams at different rates and intensities than others and can cause stress to those not used to the fast pace or those not willing to embrace change.
