      Miss use of funds, for years in advertisement that returns no impact to fundraising. Top management more concerned with power play than organizing work to meet immediate goals. They are more interested in the math game of 5-year plan, yet there is no way of meeting current year plan...

      Inspiring mission. Great work-life balance. Opportunities to travel internationally for some positions. Open to process improvement. Management and executives are approachable and open to input. Organization challenges itself to do better and not accept the status quo.

      Cons

      Career growth must be driven by the individual. Bias against hiring from within the Non-profit sector for many positions as for-profit experience deemed preferable.

      Very collaborative and innovative place. Can move fast on ideas. Employees share a passion - a very great passion - for the mission. The respect that World Vision shows its program beneficiaries, donors and employees is impressive. World Vision's love and respect for children permeates throughout the organization.

      Sometimes people and teams hold grudges for a good while; it can be hard to navigate that.
