Pros

I really enjoy working at WWT. Engaging, smart, charismatic, and passionate leadership at the executive level across all departments, including IT. Future of the organization seems bright with a strong and exciting vision for where the organization is headed. Strong financial growth within the company with great employee benefits all around. Great corporate culture that links success to the people that make up the organization. Abundant opportunities to engage with the latest technology offerings on the market. High levels of autonomy and freedom to branch out and make an impact within or outside of your job area. WWT is a charitable company that I'm proud to say I work at and has lots of great people that care about each other.

Cons

No major cons for the organization overall, but some specific to IT as we have grown over the past few years. LOTS of top priorities throughout IT. Hard to figure out the most important top priority sometimes. Some of this is driven by rapid company growth. As a result, important things can often be overshadowed by urgent things. While compensation & benefits is generally competitive, there doesn't seem to be much breakout opportunity for the top performers which can be frustrating and/or incentivize leaving an otherwise amazing company. Management seems hit and miss, some are inspiring and uplifting and others are destructive and self-seeking. Even at great companies, people leave bad bosses. While most coworkers are positive and great to work with, there seems to be a good amount of negative and critical people floating around, some in key positions. It manifests itself as people talking down about other teams work and value or just never finding a situation they can't complain about. Would love to see the negativity, judgmental, political posturing disappear as it pulls people apart.

Pros

Benefits were very good and inexpensive

Cons

Salary was not competitive with the market where I live. Management seems to think that salaries in STL should apply everywhere. There is no leadership only managers. Company is run like a monarchy, do as I say and don't have any ideas of your own. I watched several people try to make changes in methodologies and process over the few years that I was there, to only be demoted or worse. Maybe it would be more accurate to say the company is run like the mob, nepotism is rampant through out the organization not only internally but, with the vendors too. If you aren't willing to suck up to one of the bosses then you may get to work there but, you will never be more than your job description.

Tone-deaf leadership leading company to ruin

Pros

Great benefits and salary, if you can keep your job

Cons

Overworked much of the time and always having to "tighten the belt" while management brags about how awesome the company is at golf tournaments and car racing. Promises to expand and invest in parts of the business that are actively profitable, agreeing that there aren't enough workers to support existing consulting jobs, and then laying off the same workers that could help relieve the strain. Back-to-back layoffs while claiming each time it's the last.

Thank you and we are glad that our compensation and benefits package is a positive aspect of working at WWT. There are many factors that are carefully taken into consideration anytime a difficult business decision is made. We appreciate your feedback.
