Pair Programming to charge for Two Engineers instead of One

Pros

WWT receives garbage code from overseas and etc. Then they charge heavily for their Two Engineers instead of One approach. But, in practice, this leads to One Engineer gaining experience while the second engineer gets low-key berated for the duration of the pairing. Many of the former engineers here have moved into meeting prep and meeting facilitating roles because they couldn't handle the pair programming.

Cons

Pair programming. The goal of WWT is to charge the maximum amount of money for fixing garbage code generated by cheap companies. There are more extra meetings than is reasonably tolerable.

Cons

Management makes you feel like you are replaceable. Management also only cares about numbers. They don't care about their employees unless you are willing only to tell them yes. No one holds anyone accountable and when you do they use the "core values" against you in your reviews. We always here no bad leaders but we are filling up with them on the logistics side.
