Pros

- Easy work - Nice coworkers - At one point in time, I had greatest boss/supervisor I had ever had (Brandon Wheeler) - Lunch (and sometimes breakfast) is provided on weekends (if we worked weekends) - The CIP department is awesome - Plenty of PTO is given

Cons

- Skill and talent is not recognized; in fact, great skills are under-utilized (so much for the "8 wastes" concept) - The IT department (for fixing our work-computers) does a poor job; most of my issues I had to resolve myself - You can be a workaholic with a lot of ambition, motivation, and skill, but that will get you no where in this company. You need to be a friend or family member of someone important or be someone that the lab managers like to be able to get promoted. - Management cannot come up with a logical reason for why they promote (or not promote) people. They come up with many poor excuses that are easy to disprove, yet they still cannot admit that they are wrong. At least after everything was said and done, I now make more then the members of management that did not recognize my skill. I got a programming job as a senior developer. World Wide would not even consider me for an entry-level position doing scripting for the rack servers. Oh well, it is their loss and problem now, not mine.

Thank you and I'm sorry you left the company. Although skills are very important, as equally important (if not more important) is aligning with our culture. Core Values: Trust, Humility, Embrace change, Passion and strong work ethic, Attitude, Team player, Honesty and integrity (THE PATH). Employees must be both skilled and embracing of our culture. Best of luck to you.

Pros

The culture over the past 10 years has always been honest, open, have fun and work hard! The executive team is great to work with and does walk the walk with trying to keep it a great place to work.

Cons

Information Technology continues to lose good people due to poor management at the director level. Very high turnover last year and continuing this year.

Thank you for your service to WWT and taking the time to provide us with feedback. We take the concerns of our current and previous employees very seriously. I will explore your points with our existing teams to determine where we can improve. Thank you again for your input and if there is anything more you’d like to offer please feel free to do so. Good not great

Pros

First I'd like to say I am happy to work here. This is a good place to work. There is a fair amount of positives in the company. I enjoy my peers, my benefits, the go getter attitudes and the flexibility in scheduling. WWT allows you take control of your position. While micromanaging is becoming prevalent it has not always been than way and I appreciate it.

Cons

While I do enjoy workin here several peers and I do not believe it's "great" as the company leadership preaches. The salaries posted on Glassdoor along with my current salary are lower than average. Promotions come with additional work and responsibilities but a very minimal wage increase. Promotions seem to prioritize based on friendships rather than skills or experience. Currently, workload is high, hiring staff is at a low. With low wage increases, higher workload and talk of record breaking profits and business I believe WWT is beginning to see lower than normal morale with the eventual set in of increased turnover.

Thank you for this constructive review. As Jim mentioned in June, the HR and Finance Teams (with the help of an outside consulting firm) are currently gathering data to review our current compensation practices. The goal is more consistency and clarity. More to come on this and thanks again.
