Pros

Fellow employees are great Advanced Technology Center and NAIC are huge differentiators Ability to scale with customer is unparalleled

Cons

Culture is changing A lot of great people are leaving CEO and Chairman seemed to be in lockstep. I can’t believe that the Chairman is supportive of our CEO following through with this edict.

Thank you and we understand there are many personal concerns about the vaccine. The Executive Order from the president has mandated the vaccine for all employees who are employed by a company that does work with the federal government. WWT is an organization that falls under this mandate and therefore all our employees are impacted by this requirement. More detailed information will be distributed on the process for validating your status and/or applying for a medical or religious exemption. Thank you.

Pros

Truly some amazing people at WWT with tons of technical talent. At an individual team level there are some great things happening around the company. WWT can be a great place for people early on in their career to get exposure to different technical domains, enterprise sales, etc. There are a few really good executives throughout the company. The C Level leadership team cares about the employees and have established a solid approach to culture and values. The benefit costs are amazing compared to current corporate norms.

Cons

Pay seems to trend below market average for many technical roles in emerging technical areas. Many organizational and management failures due to personal relationships being a significant factor in advancement and hires. The "Saint Louis Club" and other nicknames are used internally to describe this long-term problem. Causes a direct conflict with the core values and leadership principles. Significant focus has been put on obtaining external awards which do not necessarily reflect the day to day experiences of many of the teams. This has created a disconnect in reality between the executive team and many of the employees.

Thank you for both the positive and constructive feedback and we are sorry you decided to leave WWT. We are a St. Louis based company therefore nearly all our employees and executives are based here, so we can understand some of these perceptions. We are unfamiliar with your reference to external awards. We have been very fortunate to be acknowledged as a Great Place To Work. Our goal is to truly be a great place to work for all, regardless of whether or not we win any awards for this. Thanks again for your feedback and best of luck in your new role.

Pros

The culture is laid back and people are friendly

Cons

They don’t properly compensate their employees and don’t benchmark their salaries with the rest of the market rates. When I was interviewing at WWT, I was asked why I made at my previous job, and they offered me that exact amount even though the position was a vertical move. When I told them this, they promised that I would be getting regular merit increases. I never saw a merit increase higher than 2% per year the entire time I was at WWT. They also do little to no career planning for employees. Many people are stuck in the same roles for years with nowhere to move up to without leaving their team. It is hard to feel appreciated as an employee when you are not getting any sort of raise or promotion for years on end, and are not given any indication of when you might see one. I saw some people get “promoted” and then told they wouldn’t be given a raise because the “title change should be enough”. The culture is frequently used as an excuse to not pay employees the market value of their jobs.

Thanks. We absolutely benchmark our compensation with market rates. We are not perfect but we're always working on improving our processes to support our employees. I'm not sure how long ago you decided to leave but it appears to have been some time. Regardless, thank you again.
