Pros

CEO / Executive Leadership - The leadership at WWT seems to genuinely care about employees and making the company a great place to work. The company has been continually growing financially while adding to its current services and products offered, showing commitment to innovation and growth long term. Work / Life Balance - Great work/life balance and flexibility. Option to work remotely for some departments is a great benefit. Little micro management - if you are doing your job right, you are trusted. Overall culture - Positive culture overall; fantastic benefits; pleasant environment to be around WWT is a growing company which means there is a lot of opportunity to offer process improvements and make an impact.

Cons

Lack of clarity surrounding compensation - Annual raises are given, but no raises for position/title change regardless of additional responsibility and average market salary. Could lead to lack of motivation and high turnover. I have trouble understanding why they would want to lose strong employees that fit the culture. Really want to grow with the company, but not seeing that as an option. Managers do not seem to be empowered to make decisions at a mid-lower level.

Thank you. As Jim mentioned earlier this month, we are in the process of reviewing our compensation practices with a consulting firm to help provide more consistency and clarity to all our positions at WWT. More to come on this and thanks again.

Pros

Having been with WWT for 10+ years, I can say that the Companies growth is astounding. Benefits are OK as well as the small perks such as "ice cream truck" and "Opening Season luncheon". Casual dress is a bonus as well, even when on Campus. Telecommuting is a plus for some, unfortunately there are many without that option.

Cons

Nepotism is the buzz word at WWT behind doors. Belong to the "in" family and you are guaranteed to be grandfathered in. So many new people being put right into Leadership positions without the knowledge and understanding of how Dave and Jim started this company, makes for many unhappy and stressed people under them. We are all now forced to CYA in every aspect of our daily work. Impossible to "complain" without fear of retribution. Pay is just OK, average.

Thanks. We’ve had feedback recently about the visibility of the executive team, particularly Jim’s visibility throughout the company. Just last week Jim completed a number of Town Hall Meetings in buildings across the main campus. More of these are to come. Regarding nepotism, yes we have family members and friends employed throughout the company which I don’t think is unique, other than we are fortunate to be a sought out organization with a popular employee referral program. That being said, this shouldn’t be the reason for any promotion decisions but I understand how this could be an easy perception. In virtually every part of onboarding and during most executive presentations, the discussion of the humble beginnings of the company are discussed. We want all employees to not forget where we came from. Thanks again for the feedback and good luck.

Pros

-Competitive 401k, cheap insurance -Slow paced environment can be nice, but this creates constant fire drills -Great for employees with families -Awesome office design in new buildings, investing in corporate HQ further -Supply Chain filled with super nice people, Finance notoriously difficult to interact with, HR can barely tie shoes.

Cons

-Technical skills are massively lacking in supply chain and finance. If hiring was done right they would only need 50% of the staff they employ. -Poor compensation compared to market. Will promote/expand role without raises and expect no complaints. -Thick layer of middle management filled with nieces, nephews, and children of senior staff. good luck with a promotion if you have the wrong last name. This is literally joked about openly at WWT. Appalling. -Poor performers are promoted to another role (Bus Dev) rather than let go. Results are a top heavy organization of middling talent. Sometimes even a kid promoted to a parent's old position. -I cannot emphasize enough the cult-ish talk about culture and values. If the employees showed any actual level of commitment to these ideals they wouldn't have to talk about them all the time.

I found it interesting you listed as a “Pro” that HR can barely tie shoes. I’ll take that to mean we don’t micro manage. Best regards.
