Pros

The culture and passion are absolutely amazing, especially when the executives are completely invested. The positive atmosphere is contagious and the benefits are unheard of.

Cons

Although managers seem to back you in your desire to grow, you may have to make your own career path, because for many fields and positions, there is no obvious next step.

Pros

WWT is the best company I've ever worked for. They pay competitively, the goals they set to be attained are reasonable compared to other VARs and integrators that like high turnover in sales people, so they don't have to pay them. WWT is the opposite of that. In other words, if you blow your number out one year, the next will definitely be higher, but you're not going to get a change mid-year to something unreasonable just because you're doing well. They let you make money, in other words, year over year. We also have been very creative in how we meet customer needs and provide out of the box solutions every day. Most places I've worked try to fit the customer into the company's box, rather than listen and match up strengths and solutions with customer needs. That sounds elementary but WWT does it every day and on a scale that leaves us with no real competitors in my market.

Cons

We are growing like crazy, and there's developing an ivory tower syndrome. Not from the CEO or President, which in my personal experience are the tone setters for the core of WWT's culture, but from all the mid level management that has come in between the founders and the people on the street. There is a real separation from the culture as it was 5 years ago, and what it is becoming today, and into the future. If I came to work for WWT today, I'd still think it was the best company I'd worked for, but I have been around long enough to see the growing pains, and to see where the culture is fragmenting, and how that causes issues down the chain of command. It's also becoming a place where you have to spend 20% of your time selling yourself internally. Some people thrive on that, and love telling everyone how great they are. Some of us just want to do a great job and let the results speak for themselves. You'd be surprised how much better the first guy does when it comes to promotions / perception, especially those that spend 75% of their time doing the self promotion, rather than earning GP. I don't think this is particular to WWT, just the way the corporate workplace has been for some time and is finally seeping into WWT's culture.
