Pros

Great company to work for. They truly care about their employees and ensuring people are where they want to be in their career. - On-site Health Center - Great effort to keep high employee morale - Executives who truly care about their employee satisfaction - Day of Caring - 1 day/yr PTO to volunteer - Extra PTO day for Wellness screenings - Mid-size company ensures you don't get lost in the mix. They have the resources to truly help your career and provide a lot of variety of experience. They encourage you to move around departments/organizations if your interests lead you that direction Three times in the past month, when I have been asked where I work and I answer, "World Wide Technology", I get the question, "Is that really as great of a place to work as it sounds?" These questions were followed up with the person telling me a story of meeting either Dave Steward (Co-founder/Chairman) or Jim Kavanaugh (CEO) via the Boy Scouts or the local soccer community. It makes me proud to work for a company whose owners instill so much local inspiration in our community.

Cons

WWT is growing very quickly, so it's a challenge to ensure the culture is not lost with the near exponential growth.

Pros

Having been with WWT for 10+ years, I can say that the Companies growth is astounding. Benefits are OK as well as the small perks such as "ice cream truck" and "Opening Season luncheon". Casual dress is a bonus as well, even when on Campus. Telecommuting is a plus for some, unfortunately there are many without that option.

Cons

Nepotism is the buzz word at WWT behind doors. Belong to the "in" family and you are guaranteed to be grandfathered in. So many new people being put right into Leadership positions without the knowledge and understanding of how Dave and Jim started this company, makes for many unhappy and stressed people under them. We are all now forced to CYA in every aspect of our daily work. Impossible to "complain" without fear of retribution. Pay is just OK, average.

Thanks. We’ve had feedback recently about the visibility of the executive team, particularly Jim’s visibility throughout the company. Just last week Jim completed a number of Town Hall Meetings in buildings across the main campus. More of these are to come. Regarding nepotism, yes we have family members and friends employed throughout the company which I don’t think is unique, other than we are fortunate to be a sought out organization with a popular employee referral program. That being said, this shouldn’t be the reason for any promotion decisions but I understand how this could be an easy perception. In virtually every part of onboarding and during most executive presentations, the discussion of the humble beginnings of the company are discussed. We want all employees to not forget where we came from. Thanks again for the feedback and good luck.
