Cons

If you’re not one of the chosen few from St. Louis don’t bother. It’s a boys club that lacks diversity across the organization and reflected within upper management. There’s a false sense of community that’s only available to you if they know and like you already. If not, they micromanage and gaslighting or ignore you (usually a combination of the 3) until you’re begging for some sort of acknowledgement or you leave. They struggle to run the department in an efficient manner which leaves a lot of people including clients confused. Upward mobility within the organization is nearly impossible unless you’re one of the favorites and mentorship is basically non-existent. They will tell you “to be more like [insert coworker name here]” as feedback rather than give any constructive feedback (also there was a-lot of dog-whistle racism and misogyny steeped within feedback) and leads to inherently divisive nature within the company. They’re terrible at utilizing those who come from different backgrounds in favor of those within the culture they know leaving a lot of gaps for overall improvement blinded by preferential treatment of a certain few. They preach diversity and inclusion and yet the only POC on leadership across the COMPANY is the head of DEI (which does NOTHING to help employees) and all the people who get promoted tend to look the exact same. Also I suggest you or your family don’t get sick/lose someone while working there. They will lay you off or push you out no matter what you’re going through. They’re notorious for parting ways with you during those times. I know several people who were laid off right after coming back from bereavement - so tread lightly.
