Pros

Benefits are good and getting paid to have little work to do other than taxi driving clients around is good if you dont actually care about having fulfillment in your days or career.

Cons

Lack of team atmosphere, 99.8% in your time is in your car being a taxi driver, little assistance from management, no communication between docs/rn's and others who are vital to collaborative care, no engagement requirements of clients so much of your time is spent trying to engage clients who never wanted the service to begin with and aren't required to have it to be in services, hygiene issues and bed bugs, training is unproductive and not useful at all. This job should technically just be called what it is- mental health transportion services. On demand taxi driver to clients who are only being enabled to NOT find recovery and independence. There is also no opportunity for growth within this company without getting a higher level degree. Treatment isnt the goal... shutting people up by giving them rides all day is all it is. Not case management if youve ever seen case management in mental health elsewhere. Not good work/life balance due to no cell phones (which they are now working on) so having to use your personal phone and having clients call all hours of night and weekend whether you answer or set the boundary or not. Mileage is paid under the minimum for what it should be at 43 cents per mile. No. desk of your own, shared computers and office phones, and ipads given are useless bc you cant see a thing on them.
