Stay away from the user research team! I’ve never seen so much favoritism and immaturity on a team in my entire career in UX. The leadership promotes only “mini-mes”/people who are like them, and it is unable to foster a diverse community of researchers with various skill sets and backgrounds. Everyone has to conform to a mold, and you can only succeed if you are in the right clique. People like we’re constantly teasing one another, and the managers openly made fun of people. I am not going to lie, it felt like high school.
