Hi - thanks for the feedback, I'd like to understand more of the specifics behind your comments if you would like to share, please email HR. In our associate engagement survey, people give high ratings to the effectiveness of managers here. Generally the managers are experienced and able to access a lot of very good training to further build their management skills. Frequent feedback is always helpful, we'll continue to encourage managers to keep in close communications on what's going well with a person's performance and what to improve. This says you are a former employee, so not sure how long ago or what role, but there is a significant amount of training , development and mentorship available. We aim for people to keep an open dialogue about what each person needs to be successful and happy in their career with us.

Pros

The work is technically challenging and can provide you with some great satisfaction in making some pretty cool products, You can choose to work your tail off for this company or you can simply coast through you career there. And you'll be rewarded with exactly the same advancement opportunities and mediocre raises either way!

Cons

Front line management doesn't have the ability to initiate or make necessary changes or enforce current rules. Most managers above that level don't have the time or concern to help. Just make the Danaher-initiated numbers; it's a common theme. But when we made the numbers, the company didn't share (enough) with the employees. I took a greater than 20% raise to go to my new company and perform almost the same tasks as X-Rite was unwilling to pay me for.

Congratulations on your new opportunity. Without knowing the specifics of your situation it's hard to comment, but overall it really is a high performance culture with rewards that correlate with individual and company performance. We know this because we benchmark with the market. In my experience, there are not a lot of people coasting along, it's a hard working committed group of people. One of the nice things about X-Rite Pantone is that we are part of a larger corporation, Danaher, which means we offer benefits and rewards that larger companies offer, yet we still have a smaller company environment to work in.

Good place to work, going through lots of change

Pros

Dynamic, learned a lot, freedom to organize work

Cons

Is going through a lot of change, and is losing people with lots of knowledge. Has some hard things from the past to deal with, and some strategic projects are slower to take traction than expected.

There has been a lot of change, it's a continuous improvement environment. Every company loses people with knowledge from time to time, but our turnover is low and we continue to grow and have done very well. Especially over the past few years since implementing Lean programs as part of Danaher.
