Pros

One of the best things about XPO is the incredible leadership. I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing leaders who have mentored me and helped me advance in my career. They have given me the tools and guidance I needed to succeed in my role, and I am grateful for their support. When I first started, I was working in Operations, which was a great learning experience. With the help and recommendation of my leaders, I was able to transition to the Engineering department. This was a huge step for me, and I would not have been able to do it without the support of my mentors at XPO. Overall, this company is an excellent place for young leaders to start their careers. The guidance and support of the mentors and leadership here are unmatched, and they teach you everything you need to know about the business. If you're looking for a company that values its employees, promotes growth and development, and offers a positive work environment, this is the place to be.

Cons

One potential downside is that XPO is quite large, which can make it feel somewhat impersonal at times. However, the leadership team does an excellent job of fostering a sense of community and ensuring that employees feel valued and supported. Another potential downside is that the pace of work can be fast-paced, which may be overwhelming for some. However, the company provides ample resources and support to help employees manage their workload and balance their personal and professional lives. Overall, these downsides are relatively minor, and they are offset by the many benefits of working for XPO. The opportunities for growth, the supportive culture, and the guidance of exceptional mentors make it an excellent place for young leaders to start their careers.

Pros

There were a few: fairly casual dress code, nice office with great amenities, pretty decent coworkers on average.

Cons

This is a longer list: The pay is minimal and benefits marginal. Advancement is very difficult without time/needless self sacrifice, though they have no problem hiring connected outsiders for leadership positions. Speaking of 'leadership', supervisors would rather openly gossip/denigrate coworkers and watch TV on their phones than provide direction, guidance or support, yet they were quick to jump to conclusions which often were incorrect. I got the feeling of always being under surveillance and was frequently second guessed with no efforts made to understand the situation at hand. Upper management was friendly enough and put up appearances. Middle management proved to be both unprofessional and dishonest. This company does not even pretend to trust their employees and will ask for more and more while offering next to nothing in return. Entire team was laid off with very minimal notice.

Pros

health benefits and working from home during the pandemic

Cons

undervalued, the training to learn their computer systems is really bad- they make the busiest & most successful sales people in the office teach you which makes zero sense because they are soo busy and that was the first impression that gave me a real idea on how they don't value their most successful agents' time, there are better ways to train new agents, low commission splits, low salary
