Has the right frame/bones, still extremely disorganized
Pros
- lots of opportunity to make an impact - not a lot of strict bureaucracy - incredible change - fast pace, not rigid XPO is what you make of it. You can learn a lot and experiment with various ideas without much micromanagement. However, in true private equity fashion, the only thing that ultimately matters is financial performance.
Cons
- very disorganized, even strategically - wasteful and fat in some groups and overly lean in others - incredibly complex processes - tend to throw extra bodies at problems instead of addressing root causes - no true succession strategy, limited view of top talent in the organization - pay for performance ??? maybe?? - corporate communication is not consistent or holistic in NA, Europe seems a little more connected - compensation and benefits (with exception of maternity) are average; additional perks are limited.
