I was released after the Con-way buyout on 10/30/2015.
For many months leading up to the buyout, XPO management, including the CEO, hosted town halls exclaiming that layoffs would not happen day one of the purchase - this was not the case.
In one day on the Portland campus of what was Con-way, XPO decided to layoff around 200 employees that were told it would not happen like this.
The CEO is not trustworthy.
I'm lucky enough to have backup plans, but I fear others didn't have this luxury. At the end of the day, I'm happy to not work for a company as backhanded as XPO.
