Pros

Some really smart, motivated people Fast-moving Opportunity to take on a lot of responsbility because of understaffing and high turnover

Cons

You’re expected to be in the office 11-12 hours a day and “face time” is important (the CEO’s office monitors peoples comings and goings). Peopel are overworked in every department. There is an atmosphere of distrust that comes from the top; it feels like senior management thinks the worst of people and puts them under surveillance as a result. The bonus for corporate employees paid out at 65% of target this year because of bad management. Benefits are very expensive and not competitive. Overall it’s just not worth it given the long hours and bad working conditions. There is also huge turnover. Many top peope (CFO, CSO, COO) have left in the last several months. They’ll promise you a lot to get you to join the company knowng most won’t last long enough to collect incentive awards, etc. Ask a lot of questions before you even think about signing up with XPO’s corporate HQ in Greenwich.

Pros

Some great people working there...smart, talented, forward thinking.

Cons

New ideas or different ways of doing things are quashed. They say they want change but the answer to suggestions is "that's not how we do it". Reputation of former Newbreed in High Point area was horrible. That reputation was spot on. You are expected to give your life to the company, nights, weekends, holidays. Always be ready for that call or text. And make sure you always check your email. Cut costs and ask people to just work extra hours. Pay less than the counterparts at XPO corporate. Berate your staff and threaten them for screwing up before asking what happened. Newbreed name is gone but management and attitude is the same. Good old boys club just biding time before they're ready to retire or have enough stick options to quit. Don't rock the boat, don't try to improve, just do it like we always have here!! BTW, all employees have gotten emails to submit glowing reviews to Glassdoor since the issues in Memphis hit the news...coincidence?? Probably not.
