Pros
The benefits are good, 12 PTO days starting, Pay is decent.
Cons
Micro-manged to death. You have handhelds that track everything you do, if you are in the yard more than 15 minutes which trust me is all the time because of hooking trailers up, waiting on dock exc you have to put in an excuse, their are cameras in the trucks that constantly track you as well. They cannot keep dock workers because of the low pay and harsh conditions such as no heat or ac, so they make the drivers do dock work. You will be on call and if you are AM they will call you anywhere from midnight to noon and you never know when you are going to work the next day until they call. So expect to get woke up at all kinds of different hours. You will work the dock and then they will want you to go deliver freight the rest of the day so basically 10 to 14 hours. Also its all based on seniority so to get the easy line haul runs you have to wait years until those guys retire. You have to share trucks so the interiors are dirty and your hands will always be black. I never talked to my actual driver manager I always dealt with other mangers and dispatch. There are more bosses than employees. It also goes from busy periods to slow periods to some days you won't work.
