Pros

Interesting company with a great mission that had great potential for years, but wrecked itself with incompetent, corrupt CEOs and ego-driven leadership.

Cons

Believe every word of these negative reviews. I have been involved with this company for years because I believed in the mission. Over time I saw amazing colleagues and leaders try to make a difference, only to be pushed out and burned out by the ego-driven incompetent and weak line-up of past and current CEOs. The culture is toxic to the level of making employees physically sick and leadership knows it and doesn’t care. There is all this lip service given to equity, inclusion and diversification, but in reality the CEO behaves with impunity, openly showing her lack of sensitivity, inclusion or understanding of what it takes to be a leader of an innovative organization in today’s world. But the hypocrisy continues on all levels. The leaders love to talk about how innovative the company is but the truth is that it is bogged down with slow systems, lack of clear strategic direction and changing priorities of the leaders. Middle managers are scared to loose their preferred positions under the CEO so keep quiet and comply but mock her constantly behind her back. The Founder moved on from Xprize years ago to focus on making money in more lucrative ventures and only uses this company when it benefits him. The Board has heard all the complains for years and have silently stood by as dedicated and competent individuals left or were pushed out under false pretexts. Meanwhile patterns of frivolous spending continue as trusting donors continue to give money, unaware of the toxicity, high staff burnout rates, lack of direction and the constantly floundering CEO.

Pros

-Good office perks. -Health Benefits. -Good PTO (If you are lucky enough to go on vacation without being called all the time) -Free Parking.

Cons

- IT Management is not open to suggestions, ideas nor improvements. - There is no trust at all within the team. - Rotation is pretty high. There is no job stability. - The SW developed in house is very unreliable and archaic. - Aggressive and Confusing Micromanagement. - There is no Work/Life Balance. The CTO and Director will contact you outside business hours and if you don't answer your job could be at risk. - Most of the time your effort won't be acknowledged by management and the CTO may take credit for your work if you did something right.

Pros

Honestly, don't see any perks.

Cons

I don't even know where to start? Before coming to work for X Prize I heard a lot of great things about the company. This perception started quickly fading day after the day, since I started witnessing more and more anomalies and corruption. But, hey, wait we have HR to solve most of these issues, which sounds so assuring when you talk to them. In reality HR does not car!!! Many employees, including me heard HR saying(thinking out loud):"IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT HERE,THEY SHOULD GO FIND ANOTHER JOB". What a horrible unethical thing to say. In my opinion it is simply fascism. People complain because first of all HR does not do anything to improve their condition. Hmmm...., maybe they don't know how to? HR also asks employees to write positive reviews on glassdoor. Oh my God! How far and low they can go? Did I say UNPROFESSIONAL? Add UNETHICAL to that!
