Average Pay, weird(?) promotion incentives

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

- Flexible working options - Work/life balance - Medical insurance

Cons

- Low pay - Rife with tech debt - Promotion not rooted in engineering acumen or performance but is instead rooted in extracurricular activities or 'hoops' to jump through that most don't seem to keep up once promoted. You also need to build your personal brand in your team/product and stick out above the rest in communication channels, this leads to (in my opinion) weird communication behavior.

Pros

Generally great people across the board. Decent perks in terms of leave (annual leave/PTO, wellbeing/sick etc) Good flexibility with working from home and hours worked

Cons

Company is now driven by stock growth rather than people. "Do more with less" attitude Mediocre pay Big regional discrepancies not only in pay but benefits Might as well call it an American company now, lost all its soul

Pros

Good benefits, work flexibility, remote working

Cons

Monolith, lower pay, senior leadership seems to only want profit, #human culture is gone.
