Pros

Information, information, information. Xerox regularly provides business information about its competition, its projects, and its decisions base on global trends. This behavior prepares employees for imminent change makiing the transition from old processes to new processes more palatable. Virtual Training is available (including instrustor led classes) in order to fine tune employees' skills and knowledge. Work-life balancing is essential and plays a major role in employees' satisfaction with the organization. Compensation & recognition has improved immensely over the last 15 years, meaning employees a better understand of their job roles and responsibilities, know how to achieve and over achieve their business goals, and most important they know why they have received or not received compensation and or recognition.

Cons

Older marketing representatives have not adjusted their approach to the sale of services. These reps had been successful in past selling equipment and are reluctant to CHANGE behavior to meet the the organization's key objective of helping customers do their business better through sensibly placed equipment, services, and solutions.

Pros

Better than being unemployed and collecting.

Cons

Layoffs are determined by accounting, not merit. I was recruited into Xerox and then let go after being 2.5 years. My boss did not know I was laid off. I found out when my email would not work and I investigated why I could not log on. I was told that my position had been eliminated. If the company is in the red toward the end of a quarter, they lay off to appear that they are in the black.

Pros

great place to start right out of college.. Company excels at training- you must pursue- and business processes, sales processes, etc. Once you have mastered those your stock to outside firms increases substantially..

Cons

A large company in a commodities business. Still believes it holds a monopoly in the imaging industry.. Changes made more on style than substance.
