Pros

Work and life balancing is outstanding. Although Health, vision and dental expenses have increased, Xerox Corporation plans are diverse and well-managed. Career development, personal development and performance improvement processes are key initiatives throughout the organization. Change management is effectively managed through ongoing communication, and employee preparedness programs.

Cons

Some high tenured employees are not effective knowledge workers and require more managerial attention as well as remedial training so that all employees are current with the latest technologies and programs enabled to help them fulfill their roles and responsibilities. Unfortunately, managers are slowly becoming overwhelmed with additional non-esssential work to reduces one and one time with these employees who need attention.

Pros

Xerox is still a big name and front runner in technological research. They research new technologies in their own industry niche and they also have done cancer research and promote humanitarianism. I started at Xerox as an entry level employee in Information Management. Xerox had the best starting salary offer of every employer I interviewed with. Their heath care benefits are decent, but are actually consistently better (and cheaper) than benefits many of my friends and family receive from their employers.

Cons

Like a lot of large corporations, a sense of bloated bureaucratic methodology floats around water cooler discussion. There is sometimes a sense there are too many people doing the same thing. Xerox also places high priority on process organization and systematic management certifications like Six Sigma. These certified managers, who were once looked up to, are now a dime a dozen. Project management progress is also often hampered by mandatory processes and template framework for planning.

Pros

Big corporation experience. Plenty of groups within the company, switching jobs within is possible.

Cons

Career advancement. Company is good at developing new ideas but is bad when it comes to incubating them, and making money from it.
