A culture of downsizing

Pros

work life balance has been very good salary is competitive co-workers are supportive benefit of being a large company (employee discounts) although decreasing, health benefits are competitive

Cons

The company has been steadily downsizing for the past 10+ years. No raises for many years, current raises are <2% Young people hired in the past 5 years have all left the company (Ah to be young again) Company is content to slap their name on products made by Fuji or someone else. No commitment to spend money on research or to give time for new products to develop Too quick to pull the plug. No ideas from upper management on how to increase revenue, only solution is to cut heads.

Pros

The actual work can be interesting and challenging. There is a good work/life balance, and some flexibility with regards to working from home

Cons

Contrary to the stated core value - we value our employees, almost everything the company does says otherwise. Also, they have eliminated all engineering positions on the west coast. It's now Rochester or nothing.

Great start in sales. You will get a decent shot at proving yourself and boosting up your resume for the future

Cons

Company is not following the mentality of taking care of your customers and employees first, and everything else will take care of itself. Opportunities for selling and making money have been slowly dwindling, so changes need to be made

We have one of the best and most comprehensive training programs you will find. We want our employees to feel confident and successful; we go to great lengths to make sure that happens. We also believe that MOS is a great place to spend your career! We believe in our employees! They are the backbone of who MOS is. We continuously evaluate all areas of employee development, training and compensation. We have employees who started their careers here and haven’t left because of the opportunity in front of them! MOS is focused on customer service and how we can be better than the competitors. We survey our customers after every service call and most implementations. We use the feedback from these surveys to further our training and also identify areas in which we can improve. There is always room for improvement in any situation and we are continually looking at ways to do it better. MOS is full of great people who demonstrate honesty and integrity every day. No company has a staff that is 100% fault free but we are like a family and strive to keep it that way. We look forward to sharing our family with new recruits and answering any questions that they have for us.
