Pros
company respects time spent in community help. You can have the time off to give back to your local community, and NOT have to use vacation time to do it. Xilinx also will match a lot of the monies for charity causes. Under the good managers, working has been easy, and you are free to do what is needed, with support of the manager. The products are exiting, and the job is fun.
Cons
top people do NOT see what is really going on at the lower levels. With the "new" CEO, changes are being made WITHOUT input from the levels that have the most information. It seems that they are going forward to the past, and doomed to some of the same costly mistakes made just a few years ago.
