Pros
The work culture was originally a "CREATIVE" value oriented culture. Every employess believed in those values. In the past two years, Xilinx culture was being changes with the addition of former employees of Xilinx competitor. One employee was asked if he was sabatoging the work process. That employee brought it to the Human Resources Rep and she did not take this comment as she should have and sided with the maker of the comment. The employee ws part of the layoff and the manager making the comment did not even get his hand slapped.
Cons
The work culture has changed from a "Creative" value to a culture that allows management to take cheap shots at employees and then the employee gets eliminated via the layoff. Human Resources does not listen to the employee but listens to management.
