A great company with a great purpose.
Pros
(I work for a smaller company under Xylem, so this isn't specific to Xylem as a whole) Great work environment. Awesome pay for the area that I am located. Great morals and values. The purpose is to solve water problems so waste water doesn't end up rivers, lakes, ground water, and in the environment. Environmentally cautious. Great people. It is like a family. IT is awesome and gets you what you need. Too many pros to list.
Cons
Since I do work for a smaller company in the Xylem umbrella, I have found that it takes a long time to get things approved and changed because big decisions have to go up the corporate ladder. Waiting on approvals or feedback from the higher-ups takes too long when you are trying to be more innovative. The medical benefits aren't that great. All the other benefits are awesome, except for the medical benefits. A corporation this big should have something better than a high-deductible plan.
