Pros

work life balance a wide variety of products and platform services give opportunities to learn and grow your career

Cons

compensation is not good for junior and entry level management lacks the vision and execution too many incompetent upper level architects, directors and VPs low level engineers and roles are under paid while high level positions get good compensation for doing little

Pros

Free food, flexible work life. Good people

Cons

Lack of respect from Executive team. Failure to accurately remunerate. Every change implemented is managed extremely poorly creating issues directly effecting clients and company revenue. Product focus is not on users or advertisers but on revenue creation, to the extent that advertisers are driven away. Over the past 2 years there have been several realignments, reorganizations and product launches that have all fallen short with the first attempt. The product with the highest growth rate and potential has been devalued by short term money grab syndication deals.

Pros

The perks are pretty awesome. Free gym, food, phone, shuttle, swag, events, sport courts. Culture is still good and there is still some great engineers that are going to teach you lots of cool stuff.

Cons

The easiest way to get a promotion or a raise is by leaving the company for some time and come back as a new hire. Or work 14 hours a day and suck your manager's balls. Yahoo is bleeding talents. And the VPs/Directors fight for power and don't collaborate. It is not uncommon to see two different orgs building the same product instead of collaborating.
