Good place to work, but company is still trying to re-figure itself out.

Pros

Amazing work life balance You can step up and get noticed easily Good education programs Work from home and remote in almost all circumstances Not FAANG, but you still get to work at top 10 internet scale, and solve industrial scale problems

Cons

Company is still trying to reinvent itself (again), so knowing what direction to move is difficult Resistance from entrenched tech can be frustrating (but this is getting better). Raises and promotions are meager. Review system pushes almost everyone into a "middle" bucket.

Pros

- Small teams with focused development - Product and Engineering managers act as glue between teams for larger projects - Engineering manager has two distinct roles: Project Manager & Talent Manager. Employees reporting to a manager may not work on the same project of his/her manager. Forces culture of building on the success of others and engages people manager to help employees to grow.

Cons

- Bad business - CEO removed cash/stock incentives while took big payouts
